ROADMASTER’S LIMITED WARRANTY

Long Block Engines – 18 months/unlimited miles, $40 per hour up to $400 max
Long Block Ford 4.6L, 5.4L Engines – 3 years/100,000 miles
Long Block and complete, Diesel Engines – 18 months/unlimited miles
Ford/International 6.4L diesel – 90 days
Long Block Commercial/Industrial/Marine/Complete Engines/Off Road/Stationary/Wreckers/Heavy Duty Diesels – 12 months, $40 per hour up to $400 max
Short Block Engines – 6 months
Cylinder Head – 6 months
ENGINES USED FOR RACING – warranted for repair or replacement on any remanufactured engine assembly that fails due to faulty workmanship or defective new parts.
MARINE APPLICATIONS – 18 Months/Unlimited Hours. Warranty Reimbursement Includes Cost Of Replacement Engine, Fluids, Parts And Labor. Fluids, Parts And Labor Not To Exceed $750.00
RESTORATION ENGINES (in a vehicle 30 years or older) – warranted for parts only, no labor is warranted.
Transmissions – 3 years/100,000 miles; 1 ton trucks, 2 years/24,000 miles
Any additional labor claim or claims that are not covered herein will be the sole responsibility of the installer and owner of the vehicle.

To keep this warranty in effect, your first oil change must be at 500 miles, and at manufacturers recommended intervals thereafter. Monitor oil level, as initial oil consumption is higher than normal during first 5000 miles. Proof of oil changes is required upon return of engine for inspection. Oil leaks related to our assembly are warranted for the first 90 days but anytime they develop they need to be returned immediately.

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY:

ROADMASTER warrants to the purchaser that it will repair or replace, at ROADMASTER’S option, during normal working hours, any remanufactured short block or long block assemble that fails due to faulty workmanship or defective new parts provided by ROADMASTER during the warranty period, when properly installed, and under normal use and service for the period of time or mileage from date of installation as specified below. This Limited Warranty is not an unconditional guarantee against all failures or hazards.

Labor is paid only if the repair work is authorized by Roadmaster.
ROADMASTER will not be responsible for oil, filter, coolant, towing charges, car rental, down time, loss of use, lodging, phone calls, damage due to accident, damage caused by collision, fire, flooding, theft, freezing, inconvenience, commercial loss, vandalism, riot, explosion, objects striking the engine or the vehicle, or any other consequential or resulting losses or damages of any nature whatsoever related to the warranty claim.

WARRANTY EXCEPTIONS:

This warranty does not apply to any unit improperly installed or failure caused due to overheating, rear main seal leak (due to improper attachment to transmission), unwashed parts or defective components that are transferred from the old engine, such as oil pump, oil pan, front cover, valve covers, filter, cylinder heads, manifolds, push rods, rocker arms, lifters, clogged radiators, carburetors, injectors etc. not furnished with the rebuilt unit. Warranty also does not apply to units abused, mistreated, improperly broken in, oil starved, units with pre-ignition or detonation problems, burned or melted pistons, broken crankshafts or rods, cracked blocks, porosity problems, broken bolts, valve train retainers are not covered or operated under conditions causing greater than normal wear, or used for purposes other than it was originally designed for; or when engine is operated on any fuel other than gasoline or diesel except when specified by ROADMASTER for use with other fuel; or when engine is specified for passenger car use is installed in a pickup, truck, van or Class B or C recreational vehicle; or when vehicles odometer is inoperable; or when engine failure is due to thrust, bearing damage; or when engine is installed in a Class A motor home/recreational vehicle. Use of starting fluid will void the warranty. If the heat tabs on the engine are melted or removed, the warranty will be void.

IMPORTANT: This warranty is void unless ROADMASTER’S warranty card is filled out completely, including vehicle identification number, mileage, date of installation, signed and returned to ROADMASTER within ten (10) days of installation to validate the warranty. The owner must provide, upon request, documentation of normal maintenance performed during the term of the warranty coverage. ROADMASTER makes no other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a purpose, except as otherwise required by the laws of the state to the customer, and shall not be liable for any damages other than those required by law. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

CRANKSHAFT KITS:

Roadmaster Engine Corporation warrants to the purchaser that it will replace free of charge, during normal working hours, at the location of purchase or installation, any crankshaft kit it remanufactured that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, before installation, with the exceptions shown below. The warranty covers replacement of the part only and does not include any labor.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: parts that are damaged by abuse, neglect, or accident, fluids or towing charges, loss of time, loss of use of vehicle, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damages, nor do repairs or replacement extend this warranty beyond the described period from the date of the original installation.

The remanufacturer makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, other than the warranties of the merchantability and fitness fro a particular purpose implied by law, and shall not be liable for any damages other than those provided by law.

CYLINDER HEADS:

Roadmaster Engine Corporation to the purchaser that it will replace free of charge, during normal working hours, at the location of purchase or installation, any Cylinder Head it remanufactured that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, for a period of 6 months, unlimited miles from the date of installation, with the exceptions shown below. The warranty covers replacement of the part only and does not include any labor.

We make every effort to insure that we ship the correct engine; however, it is the responsibility of the installer to physically compare our engine to the original engine to insure compatibility prior to installation. We set valve lash but it should be checked prior to starting engine.

The remanufacturer makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, other than the warranties of the merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose implied by law, and shall not be liable for any damages other than those provided by law.

This warranty is extended ONLY to the original purchaser and is not transferable. If the purchaser is not the end user, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to see that this installation is done properly and in accordance with the industry standards and guidelines and purchaser expressly agrees that seller is indemnified and held harmless from any improper installation by purchaser of said remanufactured engine. Further, purchaser agrees that in the event litigation is brought by purchaser against seller alleging breach of the seller’s remanufactured limited warranty and seller prevails, purchaser shall be liable for all of seller’s litigation expenses, including but not limited to court costs, deposition fees, all incidental pass-through costs borne by seller’s attorney and all legal fees incurred by seller. Seller shall not be liable or responsible for, and shall be saved and held harmless by purchaser from and against any and all suits, actions, losses, damages, claims or liability of any character, type or description, including without limiting the generality of the forgoing all expenses of litigation, court costs and attorney’s fees provided, however, that the indemnity provided for in this section shall apply only when the failure or defectiveness of the items supplied under the terms of this agreement is a result of purchaser’s advertent, inadvertent, or negligence whether intentional or otherwise.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

PROCEDURE FOR HANDLING A WARRANTY CLAIM:

Call the ROADMASTER factory for instructions before removing an engine or making any type of field repairs. Please ask for the warranty manager when calling.
Have the following information available when calling:
Part number and production number of the engine
Installer’s name and phone number
Date and mileage of installation
Nature of problems

Many times ROADMASTER can solve the problem on the phone.

If a field repair or engine replacement is necessary, an invoice must be sent with the engine and one mailed to the factory with the above information. ROADMASTER cannot handle a warranty claim, field repair or engine replacement until the old unit, engine or parts are returned to the ROADMASTER factory for inspection. Field repair parts found defective by the factory will be credited at jobber cost. Engines found to be defective by the factory will be credited to the jobber or distributor and labor will be credited as specified in the Engine Limited Warranty Policy upon authorization by ROADMASTER.

We agree to arbitration where available. Should legal counsel be retained for any reason, all disputes must be filed in Harris County, Texas.

LIABILITY:

Liability under this warranty is limited to retail price of the defective engine or parts at the time of purchase of the engine, and the remanufacturer shall have no liability whatsoever for any consequential or special damages. This limited warranty is the only express warranty made by the remanufacturer with regard to such engine. The duration of any warranty implied by law, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose, is limited to the duration of the express warranty. The foregoing warranties are exclusive and in lieu of all other remedies. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts nor the exclusion or limiting of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusions may not apply to you.
